Private Garden - Near Locarno (Switzerland)

In the hills above Locarno, we discover the garden of a professional floral artist with a collection of 300 camellias. It includes japonica, hybrids, sasanqua, higo and botanicals. There are also many other plants, shrubs and trees, to give year-round color and variety to this very special garden. We can walk between the various avenues of camellias, discover a more open space or return to the copses bordering the garden and the house. Everything is carefully composed to ensure perpetual flowering. This is the first private garden we've visited in Switzerland.

We begin our visit by following an avenue of camellias. These are already beautiful specimens that require regular pruning.

This aisle features a wide variety of species and colors, as is the case throughout the visit.

We then discover a wide, more open space, lined with camellias and other varied shrubs, always with the idea of continuous flowering.

The view of another grove near the house.

We return to the house for the end of the tour.
