Here is our last visit in Kurume, in 2015, The World's Camellia House. There is a exhibition of camellias, a sale of goods, books and maps dedicated to camellia, a collection of camellias planted in the ground outside and a greenhouse where we mainly found wild camellias.
We returned in 2025. It was the time of the camellia festival, which can be found all over Japan at this time of year.

In 2015, we have not been able to photograph the big subjetcs in the ground, due to heavy rain. However, we visited with great interest the greenhouse that is right next to the exhibition pavilion.

Above at the left, C. reticulata in its "wild" form, single flower (forma simplex) and at the right, C. reticulata such as is grown in greenhouses. Also included in the greenhouse some japonica, reticulata and hybrid.

In 2025, we were able to see the large plants in the open ground outside the exhibition pavilion and greenhouse.
