Here is another visit in Nantes, the parc floral de la Beaujoire. Over an area of 34 ha, it is located near the La Beaujoire stadium and the terminus of line 1 of the Nante's tramway. There are of course camellias, but also the national collection of Magnolias (400 plants in 350 taxa) and the Roseraie (25,000 roses in 1,550 varieties). Magnolias being later than camellias, it is better to plan a visit at the end of March or early April, to take advantage of the optimum flowering season. It is a very different park from the ones I presented in the other Nantes's pages. That's what makes the charm of the city of Nantes, the City of 100 gardens.
Access is via the Route Saint-Joseph. There is a parking lot nearby.
